Influential U Event Health & Safety Policy – 2025
Influential U is committed to fostering a safe and healthy environment for all attendees, sponsors, vendors, staff, exhibitors, and participants at our events. Our approach to health and safety is guided by the latest scientific evidence, public health recommendations, and local health mandates, ensuring a responsible and proactive response to respiratory illnesses, including Covid-19, flu, and RSV.
As we host events in various locations with differing health regulations and alert levels, we recognize that ensuring a safe experience is a shared responsibility between organizers, vendors, sponsors, and attendees. The following updated code of conduct and safety recommendations are designed to protect the well-being of our global community.

Recommendations
Before Leaving Home
- Stay Informed: Regularly check updates from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), and your local health authority for guidance on Covid-19, flu, and RSV.
- Travel Safely: Follow any travel advisories or restrictions from both your departure and arrival destinations.
- Self-Assessment: Monitor your health and the health of those in your close circle. If you experience symptoms suggestive of Covid-19, flu, or RSV, please contact event organizers.
- If Sick, Stay Home: If you feel unwell or have tested positive for a contagious illness, please prioritize your health and the safety of others by not attending the event.
On-Site During the Event
- Local Guidelines Compliance: Follow all health and safety directives required by the event venue and local authorities, which may vary by location.
- Risk Acknowledgment: Be aware of the risks associated with attending in-person events, including potential exposure to Covid-19, flu, or RSV.
- Preventive Practices: Help minimize the spread of illness by:
- Frequent handwashing with soap and water or using a sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
- Practice respiratory etiquette by covering coughs and sneezes.
- Mask Guidance: Depending on local health advisories and personal comfort levels, masks or facial coverings are recommended in crowded indoor spaces or when interacting with high-risk individuals.
- Physical Distancing: Respect personal space preferences and maintain distance in crowded areas when feasible.
Post-event Responsibilities
- Contact Tracing Cooperation: If you test positive for Covid-19, flu, or RSV within 5 days after attending an event, please inform our designated contact person, Liz Smiley, so we can assist with any necessary contact tracing efforts.
- Monitor Your Health: If you develop symptoms post-event, consider testing and taking precautions to prevent further spread.
Additional Considerations
- Vaccination: Stay up to date with vaccinations for Covid-19, flu, and RSV, as recommended by health authorities, to protect yourself and others.
- Digital Participation Options: Where possible, we offer digital access to sessions for those unable to attend in person.
- Event Capacity and Layout: Adjustments may be made to event density, seating arrangements, and venue layout to facilitate safe distancing and minimize risk.
- Health and Safety Signage: Clear signage will be posted throughout the venue to remind participants of safety measures.
